How do you stay motivated in business when success takes longer than expected?
This morning, during my coaching call, I was reminded of something that hit me right in the gut:
Don’t give up too early.
My coach mentioned a story that Ed Mylett often shares about a kid at a birthday party with a piñata.
The kid swings and misses. Swings and misses again. Everyone’s watching, maybe even laughing a little. But the kid keeps going. Eventually, the piñata cracks open, and the candy starts pouring out.
And in business, just like in life, that’s how success works. You may swing and miss again and again, but if you keep going, the candy always falls.
Mindset in Home Buying — The Power of Persistence
Whether you’re in sales, real estate, or any industry, persistence separates the successful from the discouraged.
When I first started in real estate four and a half years ago, I was told:
“The market is saturated.”
“There are too many agents.”
“You’ll never make it.”
But I didn’t listen and neither should you.
Because the truth is, the world will always have room for people who refuse to quit. The ones who keep showing up. The ones who keep swinging.
That’s what defines not only great entrepreneurs but great homebuyers, too.
In Mindset in Home Buying, success often looks like patience and staying steady through bidding wars, denials, or long searches until the right home appears.
Finding Joy in Real Estate — Staying Committed When It’s Hard
It’s easy to feel defeated when things don’t happen fast enough. But that’s where your mindset determines your outcome.
Every “no” brings you one step closer to “yes.”
Every challenge sharpens your skills.
Every swing makes your success more inevitable.
At HART Realty Team, we’ve learned that joy isn’t found at the finish line, it’s built in the work along the way.
That’s what Finding Joy in Real Estate truly means: finding purpose in persistence.
A Real Story of Perseverance

You’ll walk away with an exceptional customer experience.”
— April Estrada
Stories like this remind us that the candy always falls for those who keep swinging.
Don’t Quit Before the Candy Falls
No matter your industry, real estate, small business, or entrepreneurship, success takes resilience.
When it gets hard, remember: You’re just one swing away from breakthrough.
At HART Realty Team, we know firsthand that the ones who win are the ones who never stop showing up.
So keep swinging. Your candy moment is coming.
