The Moment That Sparked My Real Estate Journey
Every REALTOR® has a story; the “why” behind their hustle.
For me, it started almost accidentally. I was working as a marketing coordinator for my father’s architecture firm. On the side, my husband and I were interested in buying and selling investment properties.
One day, Jason looked at me and said,
“Why don’t you just get your real estate license so we don’t have to pay agents commissions anymore?”
That single sentence changed everything.
When Passion Meets Purpose
On weekends, I started taking real estate classes. I thought I was just doing it for efficiency to handle our own transactions, but as I sat in those classes, something clicked.
I realized that real estate was the perfect blend of everything I’d done before:
- The customer service I learned in the automotive industry
- The accounting and organization from my dealership experience
- The marketing and design knowledge from my father’s architecture firm
Put all of that together and you have real estate.
That’s when I realized: this isn’t just a side project. This could be my career.
The Leap of Faith — March 2019
In March of 2019, I officially earned my real estate license.
That first year? Long. Hard. Quiet.
I had exactly this many clients (picture me holding up a big zero).
But what I did have was determination and a belief that if I kept learning, serving, and showing up authentically, it would pay off.
And it did.
How a “Marketing Brain” Became a Real Estate Advantage
Looking back, I realize that my unconventional background gave me an edge.
H3: Marketing Built the Foundation
Marketing taught me how to tell stories that sell homes.
H3: Architecture Shaped My Vision
Architecture taught me how to see space through both design and function.
H3: Automotive Sales Taught Me Service
Automotive sales taught me how to deliver customer service that earns loyalty for life.
Real estate blends it all, and that’s why every client I represent, whether a luxury estate or a first-time buyer’s dream home, gets a custom marketing strategy, professional media, and a story that connects emotionally with the right audience.

What I’ve Learned Along the Way
Lesson 1 — Every Career Twist Teaches You Something
Every past role contributes to your skillset if you’re willing to see the connection.
Lesson 2 — Consistency Compounds
No one starts at the top, but showing up day after day creates unstoppable momentum.
Lesson 3 — It’s About Service, Not Sales
Real estate isn’t about transactions — it’s about relationships, trust, and long-term impact.
If I hadn’t taken that leap back in 2019, I never would’ve discovered how perfectly my past careers were preparing me for this one.
